Since that time, Codan has expanded to become a public company with multiple brands in 15 countries – maintaining the focus on wireless communications. One of those companies is Domo Tactical Communications (DTC). DTC has a commercial division, Domo Broadcast, and Domo Broadcast is the creator of the wireless radios embedded in Wave Central’s wireless camera products for high-resolution video.

Codan’s Tactical Communications radio and wireless communications technologies have current customers across the core markets: military, law enforcement, unmanned systems, humanitarian, and broadcast.

The acquisition of Wave Central fits with Codan’s growth strategy to acquire complementary businesses and to leverage our wireless technology to build scale in the markets they serve.

Domo Broadcast has a dominant presence within the European broadcast market. This acquisition will allow the business to leverage Wave Central’s strong reputation and market-leading system integration capability to drive growth in North America.

Wave Central has been Domo Broadcast’s primary distribution channel into the US market for 15 years.

Codan’s investment in Wave Central speaks to its commitment to the broadcast industry within North America. Moreover, Wave Central’s customers are looking to expand wireless technologies for video downlink, remote production, talk-groups' communications, and robotics and camera control, all of which are technologies developed by Domo Broadcast and will become Wave Central products and capabilities.

Wave Central will continue to operate out of its current offices. The email addresses, the website (www.wavecentralrf.com), and the phone numbers will remain the same. The same Wave Central staff that you have counted on for support and assistance are still here to provide what you expect from them. In fact, the founders of Wave Central will continue post-acquisition, as well as the rest of our high-caliber staff.

There are no plans to change anything currently available. We do anticipate that future products will have additional capabilities and features.

Wave Central has a wealth of US broadcast industry experience based on your requirements and applications. These will be directly fed into the Domo Broadcast engineering team for roadmap prioritization and vice versa.

Currently, we expect the Wave Central name to remain unchanged.

Yes, you will. From a back-office perspective, we have streamlined engineering support to have more direct communication with your Wave Central support team. This will allow for even faster response and diagnosis.

The acquisition itself will not affect any of the pricing. We will be optimizing our combined supply chain to minimize any potential increases that may otherwise be passed on from our vendors.
